Event overview

After 20+ successful summits, we’re excited to announce that in 2024, our acclaimed Social Media for Gov and Public Sector Comms Summits will again be combined into one massive event, at Commsroom’s 3rd Annual Public Sector Comms Week scheduled for 14-18 May 2025, Rex Hotel, Canberra.

Commsroom’s 3rd Annual Public Sector Comms Week offers vital insights for communication leaders to master the challenges of the digital era and the crisis of public trust, shaping a future of clear, impactful, and trustworthy public sector communication.

The digital and social media revolutions have empowered a new era of citizen-centric, data-driven, highly personalised, and service-oriented interaction between governments and the public they serve. The confluence of these two transformative megatrends – exponential change driven by big data, digital technologies, and social networking platforms on one hand, and the accelerated decline of public trust in the institutions of power on the other – have made the work of public sector comms professionals more challenging than ever before.

With a choice of three content streams, featuring real-world case study insights on the most critical issues facing public sector communications leaders and their teams, Commsroom’s 3rd Annual Public Sector Comms Week is designed to help participants effectively navigate these two interrelated megatrends, to ensure they continue to communicate with clarity, impact, and trust in a rapidly changing world.
